New District 4040 is an experimental project i’ve worked on that takes listeners on a trip through my hometown, Washington D.C. during the year 4040. It’s a mix of jazz, hip-hop, electronica and for those native to the DC area, go-go. In my head, it’s a decaying dystopian metropolis with heavily armed soldiers patrolling the streets and corporations controlling every aspect of the citizens life. I’m producing every song on the album except one I’m having Daedelus produce.
Some of the songs keep evolving so what I put in the sampler might not be in the final or might not even be on the album, it’s a process the continues to shift.
